Rhina Bhar quits Gerakan after 30 years-ANOTHER POLITIC FROG

Rhina Bhar quits Gerakan after 30 years (why you quit now because no senator for you or no more lobang?)

PENANG: Former Gerakan vice-president and Wanita national chairman Datuk Rhina Bhar has quit the party after 30 years, citing racial bias in the leadership. (If you have been disappointed by party for so long than you should choose to resign much earlier . And why at this moment you commented that the party is marginalized Indian ? why don'tyou claiming party marginalized Human being even better, terrifying comments)

“It is impossible for me to continue working under the present conditions,” she said. (what kind of condition you are talking about ? at losing all our seat seat moment? where is your politician ethical?)

“Gerakan is to be a multiracial party but the leaders have been making many racist remarks. Enough is enough,” she said. (why your enough is at this moment, what your enough is not at the moment when we won almost 90% at last election?)

Rhina, 59, who tendered her resignation on Monday, also hit out at Gerakan adviser Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik for “practising double standards”.

Rhina also expressed her disappointment over Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon’s comments for not fielding any Indian candidates in the last general election. ( than should party give all the seat to you even better right ?)

Both Dr Koh and Dr Lim could not be reached for comments.

The Bukit Bendera Gerakan Wanita chief said she was taking a break from politics to “heal her broken heart.” (than you are trying to break our heart right? you are very disappointing us as well, what the hell of politic concept you have ? leaving party when the party losing 90% of seats?)

“But I am keeping my options open to consider joining other political parties or non-governmental organisations, which can provide me an opportunity to serve the people,” she added.(politic opportunistic) from some of Johor gerakan comments

There should not be bad words trading after two gentlemen (women included in this modern world) part ways, so said Confucius. However, it is always easier said than done. So, the party leaders and Dato’ Rhina DO trade words over her quit in public as reported in the news paper.

“Racial bias” is strong word indeed. As a multi-racial party, certainly this sort of comment does not reflect well on Gerakan. For sure, hearing this “strong and cruel comment”, the leadership and members of Gerakan are also feeling the pains of “heart-breaking”. After 30 years, what a heart-breaking parting it is!

Who is right? Who is wrong? It doesn’t matter anymore. What really matters here is Gerakan. Leaders come, and leaders go. Gerakan should remain and move on.

Jason,

Let me highlight to you that Rhina is an excellent example of hypocrite Gerakan (ex)leader! Why?

A hypocrite leader would not criticise the party for self-interest when he/she is still a member. The hypocrite only dares to criticise the party after quiting. Similarly, a hypocrite party member will not criticise the leadership. Are you one of them?

So, I agree with you that everyone should not take Rhina's parting words seriously. This is a so-called sour-grape reaction!

Khoo Kay Peng had been criticising Gerakan leadership even before he left SEDAR!!! See the difference?
