You are right, this not a matter whether who is the government , the most important is as a politician your first priority is people in Malaysia, not yourself... did gerakan people did that for past 18 years in penang or malaysia?i am a active gerakan member in penang... frankly i vote for DAP this time. Why? if u have conscious as a human being...u also will vote for DAP not Gerakan. People in penang is suffering not only political also economical...my friend! UMNO pressing us in penang, so hard to cari makan...thats why people in Penang against Gerakan or BN.I know you are good in IT, but people gave up Gerakan is nothing got to do with IT. Is because of leader in BN especially so call Chinese Leader in BN such as Gerakan leaders, they all are cowards hiding under sarong of UMNO!Dont tell us how bad DAP people did, we can see on our eyes. But how bad they will do, i dont think can be as bad as your beloved Gerakan leader in Penang for example: Kor tsu koon. This coward not only scared to said something, also sold us out in penang. we shouldn't use those to set as benchmarks to see where we stand and then feel proud because we are not the worst. this don't make any sense. by doing so, we can never be successful.
it's just like in education field. if you keep comparing yourself with students who always fail and because you score slightly better thn them, then you feel so proud of yourself? this is not right jason... you should always strive for the best, and not just be proud because we are slightly better than the worst. and if given a choice to improve better, why stay on? open up and move along my dear..
it's not like we've not given any chance for gerakan to rule. for the past GEs they have been ruling, but what good thing have they done for the rakyat? we are not blind, this is a democratic country, and that's why you can see that many people 'woke up' - including myself! we don't blindly vote to make matters worse. we vote wisely according to how we want things to change in Malaysia - for us and for our future. furthermore, we vote for people whom we know will fight for our rights, we don't vote for the parties. following the results of recent GE, you'd know that not all chinese voted for DAP.. malays and indians voted for DAP as well. similarly to chinese, we don't just vote for DAP, we even vote for PAS and PKR. we just cannot accept racist politicians ruling our country. we want to stay peaceful and harmony with so many different races in the country!
are you a tax payer yourself - do you feel the pain of having to pay tax, knowing that the money have gone to waste? you could be very lucky, you have almost everything, but there are so many people having financial problems. why don't they make good use of our money to help these people? why use our money to send mat rempits to north pole for sky diving? how about the astronaut programme? what about the racist remarks made by our beloved MPs?
it's time for a change. we change and move along because we really don't see any good deeds the gerakan has done to the rakyat. we were never the top priority in their eyes. we wont simply vote because we have rice to eat. there are surely dissatisfactions that made us voted for opposition as we want a better MALAYSIA. MALAYSIA has future, so why not make it a better sountry for all - malays, chinese, indians, etc. It is rather sad when media in other countries made us bahan ketawa because of some lame actions the government made!

I agreed with U (no identity, pls show your identity lah) some how rather if DAP control all the seat in Penang is not healthy, DAP no corruption? i not think so , the only thing i think is DAP no corruption is becoz they do not have change? Do Lim Guan Eng or Lim Kit Siang dare to guarantee all his YB is clean ? i not think so, becoz all of them is Human, human tend to greedy, this is matter of time only.
Hence in the healthy politic , it should be at least letting MCA or Gerakan to hold some seat and guard on the DAP policy, i pity for Penangite u know why, how is penang future, no one dare to guarantee, right? Penangite is passing their entire future to DAP, which DAP have no experience on running the State management, so how this Lim Guan Eng going to handle for a small land of Penang ? does he capable to handle Penang ? Lets watch and see. If i am not wrong Penang is special state compare with Singapore, whereby the Penang land is 98% belong to private owner, if the government want to develope any project have to discuss with private owner , and sometime may need to fight in the court, if ur are penangite , u should knowing this. thks for ur comment

The email never brought up other ASEAN countries, and for you take them as benchmarks is irrelevant. The political affiliation of the email's sender is also irrelevant.
Gerakan's original ideology was Social Democracy, in the European vein. It's bowing down to the Conservative and Right-Wing policies of UMNO shows that this is no longer true.
